Shannon Powell, the great drummer from New Orleans (who has played with Harry Connick, Jr.,Danny Barker, and the Preservation Hall Band) leads his regular swinging, grooving band, -- one of the most interesting in the 2005 edition, and comprising much alluring jazz talent. On vibraphone is the exceptional Jason Marsalis, son of Ellis and younger brother of Wynton and Branford. Jason is a graet musician and jazz player who started quite young. On guitar, the fine New Orleans musician Steve Masakowski, a key figure in jazz today. On bass, virtuoso player and composer Roland Guerin, very well received at last years JazzAscona 2004, and whose recordings have been lauded by the critics.
